In 2022, Qingcheng captained the New Zealand High Schools National U16 team. In 2022 he attended the NZ U17 training camps ahead of the World Cup qualifiers. He was also selected for the New Zealand High Schools U19 Central North Island representative team. In 2024 he became Head Boy of New Plymouth Boys High.
